A1 Franchise Opportunity Explained

Before we start, I think we can agree that the perfect business, would be easy to start up, have the flexibility to suit the hours you want to work, be quickly into profit, no premises and low overheads, easily managed, low start up investment options, large expanding market, with massive growth potential……YES?

Well here is the perfect fit.

The A1 Window & Gutter Cleaning Franchise using our Pure Hot Water System really does include all the components for a Perfect Business. There is an absolute abundance of business out there, every building both domestic and commercial; tall buildings to bungalows; every gutter and roof; every caravan and boat, is potential business. And in most cases very badly served with poor customer service, just waiting for the right business, with the right system and great customer service.

So with a region of over 100,000 premises you only need to develop 5% of the available business, to have a turnover of £400,000.

Here are 2 live examples

Example 1 – An electronics company have their windows, building cladding, facias and signage cleaned once a month. It takes 1 van with 3 men, 7 hours to clean. The client pays £800 each time for this pristine job, with wages, running costs and consumables costing £230, leaving a gross profit for the business of £570 in one day.

Example 2 – A large detached domestic house with conservatory, it takes 3 men 8 minutes to clean the complete house; charge is £25; total cost £5.85; gross profit £19.15.

And what does the client say?

“I now pay by Direct Debit as I have that much confidence in them”.

With the A1 system, Business and Marketing practice, it really is not that difficult to convert customers away from the dirty, old way of window cleaning with a bucket and cloth.

A1 Window Cleaners Ltd is all about delivering a great service with brilliant customer satisfaction and we want you to build a lucrative business by managing that process.

What Is A1 Window Cleaners’ Pure Hot Water Pole System?

Turn on your tap and you get good clean water…well in actual fact you don’t. What you are actually getting is water that contains dissolved minerals (and some chemicals) and the levels of these dissolved minerals increases in areas known as Hard water areas.

The important minerals for us in our window cleaning industry are Calcium and Magnesium, great in drinking water
but bad in water used to clean glass, that is why you get tablets to add to your dishwasher, to neutralise the effects of these two minerals.

In the window cleaning industry, Calcium especially is a problem because it is the dissolved Calcium in water that
leaves the white, residue lines on windows. So using a bucket and squeegee will never work, even if the bucket of water was changed with every window (and we all know that doesn’t happen).

So, what our system does is that it purifies the water by removing dissolved minerals…no more white lines. The system then heats the water and as we all know warm water is better for cleaning; the system then delivers the water, in a pressure controlled flow, to the ‘pole’, leaving a crystal clear finish on every surface.

There are many advantages to the A1 window cleaning system but here are some of the main advantages:
• Pure Hot water – crystal clear finish
• Very Efficient – The ‘pole’ system eliminates ladders and increases productivity
• Increases Business Opportunity – Tall/High rise buildings, conservatory roofs can now be cleaned as part of the window cleaning service
• Very Safe – Ground operated, no harnesses, no flouting regulations
• No Chemicals – the water is pure so you don’t need bubbles
• It’s Green – no bubbles means no detergents, which means no environmental damage
• Massive Growth – For a window cleaners this means you can just keep on adding more customers and more vans.

Clear Water-Clear Business-Clear Profits is the motto for all our franchisees and other business partners.

Ways To Pick a Window Cleaning Contractor

Ways  To Pick A Window Cleaner

This is how I picked my last window washer in Scotland.

I started my search for a window washer in Western Scotland or a window cleaning company in Kilmarnock or maybe a window cleaning company in Ayr just to make sure I got my bases covered and hopefully found the best in the area. To make sure I got the big professional ones too I looked at window cleaners in Glasgow to see how the big boys do it and how much they charge.

Now here’s a really neat trick, if you are looking for any service at all be it plumbing, website design or window cleaning and you know what you want but you dont want to be short-changed, you can ask the simple question, “why should I pick you?” and the people you are talking to will answer you in industry language. In other words, they are the “experts” in this field and they know the criteria used to judge good work, they know the background required to do the work and all kinds of certification and insurances that you and I would probably never think of or maybe at best, just dont want to think about. Their statements will be something like, “we are certified by Ladders Free and we are covered in such and such ways and we use such and such equipment”. I did not know anything about this and a quick google around the net showed me that to be certified as Ladders Free a window washerhad to have the following:

•Public Liability Insurance
•Employers Liability Insurance
•Commercial Customer Referees
•Know all the Health & Safety Procedures of window cleaning
•Have a Current Competency Report
•They also use water-fed poles which means they will not need to climb up too high making the whole situation safer and clatter-free. Nothing worse than scaffolding around your property for weeks just to clean two windows!
They will also more than likely have the “LaddersFree” somewhere on their stationery
Now the industry guys have gone to great lengths to take a thorough look at a window cleaner’s background to make sure they are fit to work in this industry and also to be trusted around your property. This is all so you and I are safe when we contract window  cleaning contractors in our local areas. So that was one thing I quickly learnt and to cut a long story short, I will now put more points for you to look at below.

•Due to the use of water-fed poles they cut costs by taking scaffolding or cherry pickers out of the picture and can pass these savings on to you
•Cladding and gutters can be cleaned from the ground
•They can access those awkward areas in the back so your windows are cleaned all round. There is nothing worse than a striking clean window next to one that’s starting to look tinted due to filth! It just does not work.
•Other places on site can be cleaned as well such as street lamps, signage, solar panels, wind turbines, canopies, conservatories and atriums
•Client privacy is maintained as there is no need to climb to their bedroom or bathroom windows or above. All washing is done from the ground.
•Landscaping and flower beds are not damaged by ladders, scaffolding or bulky cherry pickers.
•Buildings, siding and window sills are not marked by ladders
•Work is quicker and operatives are off the site sooner than cleaners using ladders/ scaffolding/ cherry pickers and so on
•They use inonized-water in the poles and this makes the wash last longer than ordinary tap-water. My window washer in East Kilbride, Scotland has saved me money already since he now only comes once a month (not twice) due to the ionized water cutting my bills in half!
•Proven Experience and Quality Service
•Positive Word of Mouth or testimonials, talk to their other customers as you will need to know, trust and like your window cleaning company so you can give them un-supervised access to your property while you do your other life essential activities.
•Pick a window  cleaning contractor that’s within your budget
•When you look at testimonials as mentioned above, do not forget to ask how they handled any problem areas in the past. This is important as you will need to have a way to complain or voice any concerns you may have should anything go wrong in the future.

Why Aren’t Your Windows Clean?

The answer to why your windows are not as clean as you would like is mostly to do with the water you use to wash them.

What’s that? You always use clean water? Let me explain…

A lot of amateur window cleaners pull up to your house and run your tap water into their buckets and get to work. Chances are you do the same whenever you want to clean the windows.

The thing is the good clean water in the tap is not as clean as you would expect. Don’t worry it’s not dangerous but here is what happens: In hard water areas your water is full of the chemicals from the water place and a lot of other dissolved minerals like calcium, magnesium and so on that are really good for drinking water but not when it comes to washing windows. In fact they are downright bad for your windows.

To give you an idea, think of what happens to your washing machine or dishwasher after a while of constant use and the efforts you go to just to make sure you do not get lime-scale problems. That is the quality of water most people use when washing their windows. Unfortunately the glass in your windows does not quite like that water. The minerals leave white residue lines on your windows and you start seeing streaks down your windows. A bucket and squeegee just does not work for this, even if the bucket of water was changed with every window (and we all know that doesn’t happen).

So, how do you get around this problem?

You just need to get a professional window cleaner with an ionised pure hot water system.

The ionised water system purifies the water by removing dissolved minerals which means no more white lines, and hopefully your windows start looking more like the windows on TV! The system works by heating the water and as we all know warm water is better for cleaning. The system then delivers the water, in a pressure controlled flow, to the ‘water-fed pole’ or whatever your cleaner uses, leaving a crystal clear finish on every surface.

There are many advantages to the ionised pure hot water system but here are some of the main advantages:
• Pure Hot water means a crystal clear finish. People will constantly try to walk through your glass door panel!
• No Chemicals – the water is pure so you don’t need bubbles
• It’s Green – no bubbles means no detergents, which means no environmental damage

So next time you go to find a window cleaning contractor, ask them what kind of water they use.
